Both controllers provide higher scalability by incorporating over 1000 hardware and software functions, covering areas such as programming, offline debugging and simulation, maintenance, vision, and security. The controller also has a built-in connection to ABB Ability Connected Services&＃39; cloud based robot service suite, providing new opportunities for improving performance through enhanced predictive maintenance and lifecycle management. ABB has also launched an open automation software for the Internet of Things gateway for OmniCore. The Internet of Things gateway enables seamless data transmission from factory workshops, machine to machine (M2M), robots to other machines, robots to sensors, and MES/ERP systems or clouds, making true joint production possible.
