【性质简介】：Pyrene, a blue fluorescent marker, is like a brilliant pearl in the field of scientific research. Its function as a proximity probe is particularly prominent, as it can accurately reveal the interactions and distance changes between biomolecules. When two pyrene residues approach each other in space, they exhibit a stunning quasi molecular fluorescence phenomenon with a longer wavelength, allowing researchers to observe subtle changes between molecules more intuitively. Pyrene also has the potential to serve as a FRET donor for other fluorescent groups. In the study of fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET), pyrene can transfer the energy of its excited state to adjacent fluorescent groups, thereby achieving efficient energy transfer and conversion. This characteristic makes pyrene have broad application prospects in fields such as biological imaging, drug screening, and molecular probes. In addition, the excited state lifetime of pyrene is exceptionally long, exceeding 100 nanoseconds, making it an ideal fluorescent group in time gated experiments. In time gated experiments, researchers can observe the fluorescence changes of fluorescent groups at different time points by precisely controlling the switching time of the light source, thereby revealing the dynamic interaction process between biomolecules.
